All you have to do is show up in your best tea dress and enjoy the festivities. As for décor, who needs flowers with serving pieces this stunning? I worked with Beatriz Ball again for this setup ; you might remember their beautiful cabbage pieces and bud vases from Easter. Everything here is from their Latur collection – the feminine, ruffled detailing coordinated so perfectly with my table. Bowls and platters in various shapes and sizes held fruit for the sangria and introduced some dimension by creating different levels of height .

We love to incorporate favorite Southern ingredients in new and different ways. This hummus recipe uses black-eyed peas instead of chickpeas. Make it even more fun by asking guests to come prepared with their own props for the photo op. In this game, the shower host plays a kids’ song or lullaby without telling everyone what it’s called. The first person to “ring in” and correctly say the name of the song gets a point. Once you decide where the guest of honor will sit for the shower, get creative with balloons, wall decorations, banners, and the rest.
Spinach Dip
I have been wanting to share details of this celebration and this just happens to be the perfect way to do so. If you want to add just a slight nibble and palate cleanser to the baby shower menu, look no further than this salad recipe. There are a few different ways to open (or not open!) gifts during a virtual baby shower.
Serve this delicious chicken salad with tea biscuits, crackers, or crostini. There's nothing like a good, old-fashioned cheese dip, and this one takes the cake. Cream cheese-olive spread is a fantastic make-ahead dish for a stress-free sip and see. Bake biscuits after frittatas have been removed from the oven. Prepare whipped topping for cake and spread on cake, then return cake to refrigerator. No Southern shower should be without a plate of deviled eggs, and this version adds a lot of flavor with bacon in the filling.

Creamy Cool Fruit Salad
Note that even though this is a shower, I stuck to a fairly neutral motif . I don’t love it when things are too “on the nose” and this way, I can use these pieces for lots of different events. As for the other pieces, you’ll recognize the flatware, napkins, and glasses from many of my past tables (as always, I encourage y’all to reuse, reuse, reuse).

Serving a snackable spread of baby shower food not only keeps the atmosphere fun and casual, but it makes sure everyone has plenty of time to talk to the expecting mama. Colorful cakes and pastries will double as delicious snacks and attractive decorations to match the baby shower ideas. The Southern hostesses that came before us would approve. This classic tomato sandwich only requires a few ingredients, but that's all it needs. Consider these hors d'oeuvres a cross between deviled eggs and potato salad. Made with a grits "crust," it makes for a hearty addition to a brunch spread.
I placed a tablecloth and then hung more of the tissue pom poms on the corners. On top of the table to name the dishes, I used chalkboard flag stickers and wrote each dish on the tag using a chalkboard marker. Also on the table was a basket of party favors for guests to pick up when leaving.
For example, to make it feel like you're on a ranch, start by placing a few bales of hay in the front of the room and using toys like rocking horses or stick horses. Just because the pregnant mommy can’t drink alcohol doesn’t mean you can’t serve amazing drinks! Plan to make and serve mocktails or set up a mocktail bar where guests can make their own.
