"Perfect combinations of flavors. My family loved it. Very light and fresh!" wrote one reviewer who gave this recipe five stars.

You can't go wrong topping this timeless ham-and-biscuit duo. Everyone gets their very own, which will keep things easy and breezy. You can also decorate the space with plush animals or toy figures of Pooh and his friends. These colors also work well in floral arrangements inspired by fairytales. Bunch up paper pom poms and put a golden horn in the middle to make DIY unicorn head centerpieces.

Have everyone write a note of encouragement or give some words of advice for the mom-to-be. Tell her not to open it or read it until she’s in labor...or after delivery. Gather the girls and head out for a day at the salon, where everyone gets the full beauty treatment. When you’re all relaxed and rejuvenated, head over to your favorite dessert shop for sweets and gifts.

These cheesy sliders are practically required at any Southern shower or luncheon. This recipe is so easy to throw together and double or triple if you're serving a large crowd. This little-known Southern salad—it is believed to have originated in Mobile, Alabama—will be a winner at any baby shower, coastal or otherwise.

Gender reveal using balloons, hidden cake decoration, or other creative pink or blue items. Then provide a buffet with bowls of different types of lettuce, cut veggies, and salad dressings. Sassy Southern Baby Shower
Some of my favorite resources are Dogwood Hill, Sweet Caroline Designs, Nico & Lala, and Katie Corley Art. It’s nice to hold back an extra invitation in a fresh envelope for the honoree (and her mom!) so they have a keepsake that didn’t go through USPS . Generally speaking, a shower has multiple hostesses and this can be a recipe for great success or frustration.
Sip on sparkling beverages infused with blueberries while snacking on appetizers that have blue cheese . Finish the shower with a blueberry dessert as a final present to the tiny bundle you're gathering to celebrate. If you’re in charge of planning a baby shower party, try including some of the food and drinks listed above.
My rule is to give something consumable or nothing at all. Celebrate a new arrival—girls and boys—with modern combinations. Make the most of your wedding's date with one or more of these seasonal ideas.

Place fishing nets on top of tables, then scatter a few sailor caps around the room. For decor, the predominant colors for the day will be blue and white with bright pops of red. Consider hair ties, succulents, a small kitchen tool in blue or pink, fancy tea, or personalized wine corks. Or maybe dinner at a fancy restaurant is more your speed.
So host the shower you know you can, make the shower recipes you love, and enjoy the bridal, wedding, or baby shower of your dreams. This weekend I hosted a baby shower at my house and kept track of all my best tips and tricks which I’m sharing with y’all today. In anticipation of this, I also styled a shoot earlier this month that I hope will give you ideas and inspiration for themes, table settings, and more. You’ll see I chose blue for this, and yes, I do use it a lot here at Mrs. Southern Social. I hope you love this setup as much as I do, and if you’d rather just skip ahead to my “Shower How-To’s,” click that link and it’ll take you right there.
A fruit salad is always a fresh item to have at a shower, and this one is a breeze to make. This simple strawberry salad is dressed with a white balsamic vinaigrette. Serve with toasted bread slices for easy pick-up appetizers or over arugula. Gender Guessing – Have a contest with a reveal at the party or later about the gender of the baby.
Junge Baby Shower EinladungApples sliced thin with chicken salad and a whole pecan on top - beautiful and tasty appetizer idea. Paula Deen's Baked Garlic Cheese Grits - I am not a fan of PD's recipes normally, but I have made these more times than I can count and they are really good. Use the best quality cheese you can afford, and make sure one is SHARP cheddar, it does make a difference. It makes a HUGE 9x13 pan full, so I usually cut the recipe in 1/2 unless taking to an event.
And, of course, your living room or kitchen are perfect places for just about any baby shower. People fall into two camps on this tradition – you love it or you hate it, and I’m squarely in the latter group. To me, it feels old-fashioned, not to mention awkward for guests who might have sent a gift to the bride/mom-to-be directly vs. bringing it to the shower.
